Terms of Use

These Terms of Use govern your use of Schriibli. By using Schriibli or creating an account, you agree to these Terms.

Schriibli is operated by Tomas Ghela.

1. What Schriibli provides

Schriibli is an educational writing-practice tool for learners of Zurich German. It provides real-life writing exercises and AI-assisted feedback.

Schriibli is currently an early beta product. Features may change, be limited, break, or be removed as the product develops.

2. AI-assisted learning feedback

Schriibli uses AI-assisted feedback to help you practise writing Zurich German. Feedback may be inaccurate, incomplete, or inconsistent.

Swiss German spelling varies. Schriibli does not claim that there is one official or universally correct written form of Zurich German. A suggested correction is one natural option, not the only acceptable version.

Schriibli is an educational practice tool, not an official language authority. You remain responsible for deciding what to write or send in real situations.

3. Accounts

Some parts of Schriibli may be available without an account. If you create an account, you are responsible for keeping access to your email account secure.

When logged in, Schriibli may save your writing attempts, correction feedback, onboarding information, and related account data so you can review your progress.

Do not create an account using another person's email address or attempt to access an account that does not belong to you.

4. Acceptable use

You may use Schriibli for personal learning purposes.

You must not:

• use Schriibli for illegal, harmful, abusive, or deceptive activity
• submit malware, spam, or attempts to disrupt the service
• attempt to access accounts, systems, or data that are not yours
• use automated tools to overload the service or bypass limits
• copy, scrape, reverse engineer, or commercially exploit Schriibli without permission
• submit content that infringes another person's rights
• use Schriibli to create content intended to harass, deceive, or harm others

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or create security, legal, or operational risk.

5. Your writing and submitted content

You keep ownership of the writing you submit to Schriibli.

You give Schriibli permission to process your submitted writing as needed to provide corrections, save attempts, operate the app, improve reliability, investigate misuse, and comply with legal obligations.

Do not submit highly sensitive, confidential, or personal information that you do not want processed by Schriibli and its service providers.

6. Schriibli content and intellectual property

The Schriibli name, branding, scenarios, interface, software, and original content are owned by or licensed to Tomas Ghela.

You may not copy, redistribute, sell, or create competing materials from Schriibli content without written permission.

7. Availability and changes

We aim to keep Schriibli available and useful, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, or that all feedback will be accurate.

We may change, limit, suspend, or discontinue features at any time, especially during beta testing.

8. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

Schriibli is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis to the extent permitted by law.

We do not guarantee that Schriibli will always be available, accurate, secure, or suitable for your specific purpose.

To the extent permitted by law, Tomas Ghela is not liable for indirect losses, lost profits, lost data, or consequences arising from reliance on AI-generated feedback or use of Schriibli.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability where it cannot legally be limited.

9. Ending your account

You may stop using Schriibli at any time.

You can request deletion of your account and related personal data through your account page or by emailing hello@schriibli.ch.

We may suspend or close your account if you violate these Terms, misuse the app, or create a risk to Schriibli or other users.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as Schriibli develops. The latest version will always be available on this page.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Switzerland, unless mandatory law in your country of residence requires otherwise.

The courts at [CITY, SWITZERLAND] have jurisdiction where legally permitted.
